Gannets on the Bass rock July 6th 2009. Squally day. Dougie the boat man wasn't too happy about the swell as we approach the Bass, but we all got to land and make drawings all day untill he returned for us in the early evening.40,000 gannets make the most extraordinary noise and a stink that is beyond discription, but most of all they are so utterly beautiful.
Kittiwakes on Dunbar castle. 5th July 2009. These birds are so pretty, their guano covered nesting ledges have a remarkable texture in this bright light.
I live and work in a remote forested valley in west Devon.
each morning I go out into the forest to watch and draw the flora and fauna that I find there , I cannot remember a time when wildlife didnot fasinate me. I have been lucky enough to be able to make my living from this fasination , capturing moments in line and colour then transfereing those moments into clay. votives of my lifelong passion.
